Shelton, CT

Almost 10,000 Jobs
for electricians
are projected to open between 2020 and 20301

Our Shelton CT campus offers electrician training in 2 schedules: day or evening. The day program can be completed in 51 weeks, while the evening program takes 81 weeks. Graduates of our Connecticut electrician curriculum can enter the electrical industry well-trained at the apprentice level. Successful completion of the electrician program also satisfies the State of Connecticut’s mandated 720 hours of classroom instruction.

The Electrician Training program contains 24 courses that total 1,200 hours of detailed instruction. Your education begins with 3 courses: basic math and two electrical theory units. Following these introductory courses are the 21 additional courses described below. These are carefully timed and structured to build upon and maximize your growing knowledge base. Completion of all courses will qualify you to enter the industry as an electrician’s apprentice. All courses are comprised of 36 hours of instruction and 14 hours of hands-on lab work under the supervision of an instructor who is an experienced electrician.
