JCI Academy: For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the JCI Academy is a paid internship for Lincoln Electrical graduates hosted at Lincoln Tech’s Columbia, MD and Denver, CO campuses. . The Security Training Overview

The JCI Security Technician Training Program marks a critical steppingstone for aspiring security technicians. Spanning six weeks, this program offers a blend of online and in-person training crafted to instill in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in security system installation, operation, and troubleshooting.

The initial phase unfolds online over two weeks, utilizing Microsoft Teams for daily sessions. Participants dive into JCI Learning Hub modules, laying the groundwork for the more intensive in-person training that follows. The subsequent four weeks are devoted to mastering the intricacies of CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems. Students immerse themselves in a myriad of practical tasks - from hardware troubleshooting and programming to understanding JCI’s rigorous safety and operating standards.

Notably, the program emphasizes real-world applications, such as working with Kantech and ExacqVision systems, ensuring participants are battle-ready for the challenges that await in their professional journeys.

JCI specialized fire equipment is available on certain campuses, and graduates of the EEST and HVAC graduates can explore this type of technology further if they are accepted into the JCI Fire Training program.

JCI Prep is available at Lincoln Tech campuses that offer Electrical/Electronics and/or HVAC training programs.

JCI Academy is available exclusively at our Columbia, MD and Denver, CO campuses, and is open to graduates of Lincoln Tech’s Electrical/Electronics programs who are selected for the program.
